Beautiful property and genuinely good wine, that’s why I stayed a member for over 4 years. Unfortunately, my last experience left a bad impression. I attended the club pickup event and picked up my shipment in person, but due to an internal error it was still shipped and charged to me again. While the team tried to offer alternatives, none realistically worked for my situation. What disappointed me most was not just the mistake, but the lack of care afterward. After years of consistently supporting the winery, I did not feel valued as a longtime member, and the customer service felt very impersonal when I decided to cancel my membership. A simple acknowledgment or appreciation would have gone a long way. The wine is great, but based on my experience, don’t expect much extra-mile treatment if issues come up.

Even though I visited the tasting room at the end of the day, I was greeted by our smiling host Darriene with a glass of Merriam 25th Anniversary Blanc de Noirs sparkling wine. Even though we did not have enough time to have a full tasting, she accommodated us with a high-energy, abbreviated version that was well over the expectation. During this time, we had a surprise visitor drop by our table to introduce himself- Peter Merriam himself! Some of my favorites during the tasting were the Semillon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and a very limited production Petit Verdot. There are many great takeaways from this organically farmed estate: from the friendly greeting of dogs and the tranquility of the property to their polished hospitality, you’re in good hands.

Booked a wine tasting for myself and 6 other ladies on March 6th- we had a GREAT time! The vineyard and tasting hall are beautiful. We loved that it was tucked away in peaceful surroundings. The wine was excellent! We especially loved that its organic, and that the brand is working towards conservation-forward practices. The staff were all so knowledgeable and welcoming, we loved the cute pups that came to greet our table every now and again. If someone asked me to recommend a vineyard to visit, I would most certainly be recommending Merriam Vineyards!

Stopped in last minute on a road trip with my sister and we were so glad we did! We were met in the parking lot with a glass of wine and 2 adorable dogs! We did a tasting and they were super relaxed and knowledgeable, walking us through everything we needed to know. The owner even stopped by to chat for a bit too. We ended up buying a few bottles, including a Malbec, which I typically don’t like, but theirs was great! Highly recommend swinging by if you want a down to earth wine tasting experience!

Great experience and fantastic wine selections. Dale was knowledgeable and very personable and welcoming. Yogi the springer spaniel was an added bonus. Felt like a family member just hanging out and enjoying great wine. Definitely recommend the experience if ever in the Russian River Valley area.
