My doctor went out on leave unexpectedly. I saw Gustavo Carillo. I have been on pain medication for awhile due to a lot of injuries and joint issues. I just got my results for my MRI I had done and brought the results with me. I told him I needed my pain medication renewed and he told me I did not need them. He would only refill them for 2 weeks. I showed him my paper I printed from my MRI. He looked at it and handed it back to me and said I don’t know what to tell you I will give you a refill for 2 weeks. I asked him what am I suppose to do and he just shrugged his shoulders. He knows nothing about me. Most of my records are at Dr. Youngs office and Dr. Degenhardt at Santa Rosa Orthopedics. I was very upset. He told me I should not be on half of my medications. HE does not know me!! I saw Dr. Young today to go over my MRI and he told me my shoulder does not look good. I guess there are 4 parts to your rotator cuff and I have a tear in each one and some other damage. He is going to refer me to a specialist. I am also going to have my nerves burned in my hip. I have bursitis in both hips. I also need a knee replacement. So a new PA comes in and treats me with disrespect. He has no idea what I am going through ! He didn’t even take the time to ask me. He just assumed I did not need my medication
Our visit my wife and I with Dr. Alford was all as delightful as always. I love her straightforward, Direct conversation, detailed analysis and or suggestions. I always feel like I’m getting more information than I can digest, but it is detailed and her ability to tap into information is quite impressive. I would recommend her to anyone who has any concerns around the medical system.
Dr Wirth is my primary care physician. He takes his time and offers options pertaining to my back issues. I have been happy with him and his entire staff. The medical staff is always friendly and professional.
Dr. Sara Alvord’s manner was lacking in compassion, and she did not pay sufficient attention to some red flags about my grandmother’s health condition. Then, when the lab results were available, she did not notify us of very clear markers of serious illness that required an ER visit. The doctor made very little effort to communicate with my grandmother (using a speech-to-text app), directing her speech to me.
