Easy, wide boardwalk out to two different overlooks of the ocean. Panoramic views.
Adjacent to Ten-mile beach and sand dunes.

MacKerricher Beach is perfect for gentle walks on boardwalks. From the beach parking lot you can get to the beach, of course, as well as a boardwalk to the headlands where you can watch seals sunning themselves on the nearby rocks.

From the lake parking lot you can follow a boardwalk around the small lake viewing the variety of plants that grow right down to the waters’ edge.

There are many camping sites available as well as a campfire circle with stories on occasional nights. Be sure to save some time to view, and touch, the whale skeleton on display!

A beautiful huge park with many campgrounds and such a diverse location with beaches, hiking around on Boardwalks, and witnessing the smashing waves on the beaches

fabulous beach! A section has an accessible path for about a mile with areas to pull off and see views. Pit toilets but no water accessible. Easy access to beach but the sand is dark and can be hot for bare feet or dog paw pads. Small parking lot so go early. a couple picnic tables are there on a small berm in the sun. Bring your sun shelter and enjoy a great day at the beach.

when i got there the waves were high and rough, was not safe to touch the water, fish or bring your children to play at high tide. you could clearly see a drop off point when the rough waves were coming in so we took a couple of pictures and left. didn’t stay long due to the waves so maybe another day.
