I went here the other day searching for a specific product. I noticed there were two employees near the cash registers so I politely asked if it was ok if I asked them a question and they just stared at me. I pulled up a picture on my phone and asked if they sold the product. Neither of them looked at the picture, one of them said “I don’t know” and kind of shoved past me, so I asked the other employee. He said “what is that” and I said I think it’s ramen or pasta, and he quite rudely said “the ramen aisle”. In kind of an annoyed tone. He didn’t tell me which aisle it was, ask what product it was I was looking for, or make any effort really to help me whatsoever. Both employees seemed extremely annoyed that a customer would dare to ask a question. I work in customer service and would never be rude to a customer like that unless they were rude to me first. This is why nobody goes to the Sebastopol Lucky, at least at Safeway they have decent customer service.
Like all Luckys, this one is clean, well laid out, good selection and reasonable prices, although nothing seems reasonable in this day and age. Jeezum… Well, so it had a clerk ready to check me out, and an auto check setup that actually worked. Glory Be !
This place is overdue for a deep clean and a total overhaul. It feels gritty the moment you walk in, yet the prices are now higher and the aisles more disorganized than Safeway. To top it off, it’s painfully obvious which staff members would rather be anywhere else. Thankfully, they have a self checkout.
I shop here sometimes when walking in Ragle Park, for convenience. 10+ pounds of stuff in one shopping bag? It was a big problem and I was scolded for asking for another bag. Bag handle all stretched out. Store looks dated, butcher was nice.
I’m giving Lucky 5 stars just because it’s the closest grocery store that has reasonable prices near where I live and the clerks are nice. The deli and meat department I would skip though as the quality to me isn’t great. I’ll get an occasional bagel which are fine. You can find good deals on boxed goods, frozen food and also stuff in the fruit and vegetable section. I love their deals on avocados and berries. Easy parking out front.
