We have been to Los Agaves twice!! The place its self is decorated nice , plenty of seating/ comfortable seating, indoor and outdoor(heaters outdoor available ). The menus is small. The prices are on the high end. The food is good but not anything special compared to other Mexican restaurants in town.

Stopped in during lunch and was very impressed with the quick service even as its started getting busy with the lunch rush. The menu had many options to choose from and went with the quesabirrias tacos which were good. Love the esthetic of the dining room, so many bright colors. This is a nice spot to walk in if you are looking for something tasty and quick.

Stopped in while on vacation with my family and everything was amazing. The ceviche of the day which today had shrimp, fish, and scallops in particular blew me away. Everything was super fresh and well portioned!

Tacos dorados $15 were decent but I prefer beef vs. chicken. Bartender Jonathan was extremely friendly and attentive. Otherwise it is just the typical fancy Mexican restaurant you will find in every downtown of Northern California. Sky high prices for everything, including $15++ for margaritas. Salsa roja was not my favorite. $2.50 for a 1 oz. amount of spicy (habanero?) salsa on the side. Most places charge $0.75 for that. Or it’s free if you ordered a chips appetizer. $50 for 3 beers and two appetizers. The bar is clean, so that was good. I wouldn’t come back myself, but some people love this kind of place. I prefer a more economical place w ambiente.

This review is in regards to Napa Restaurant Month 2025 (January). Their special was $29 which included a Margarita, appetizer of corn soup (which we all were looking forward to try but they ran out early afternoon), Apple Salad, or 2 Tacos Dorados (chicken taquitos), and a 2 taco (birria, carnitas, chicken, or veggie) plate with rice and beans. We made a reservation for 6pm for 4 since we knew it would be busy on a 3 day holiday and the start of the Light Festival. Service was great, we got guava and mango margaritas, I got the Apple salad which was super fresh and well and not overly dressed. Within our group of 4 we got the birria, carnitas, and chicken. Our server said carnitas were his favorite and birria and chicken were popular. The meats were really good and we all liked the beans as well. Such a great deal, for dessert we shared a guava cheesecake. They also had $10 shots of tequila as a special. There’s street parking right along the outside and there are parking garages nearby. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and bathrooms located down the hallway. They have TVs to watch sport games and it’s nicely decorated inside.
