This evening, we had a celebration activity. I took the young guys from our company out for an Italian dinner.
As the wine flowed, so did the conversation. I shared my stories from my university days all the way to the present. Although we’re only one generation apart, the differences in our times, experiences, and viewpoints were dramatical. Those contrasts made for lively and thoroughly enjoyable conversations.
The food was excellent, and everyone loved the cozy atmosphere and the background music. Jerry declared the tiramisu “absolutely top-notch.” And the local Livermore wine was fantastic.
I’m falling more and more in love with Italian cuisine. It feels like the sunshine of the Mediterranean, the romance of the Italian people, and their passion for life and art are all woven into every dish.
I was expecting it to be just a basic wine bar but the place actually has a cozy little vibe that works well for the area. The guy behind the bar was really friendly and knew alot about the wines they had, even offered me a taste of something I wouldnt normally pick. The charcuterie board was solid, meat and cheese were fresh, nothing fancy but enough to make you feel like you actually went somewhere nice. My only small issue was the music was a little too loud for that space, made it harder to chat without leaning in. I would definately stop by again if im passing through, solid place to kill an hour or two.
Excellent food and service. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Livermore. ‘Fiori Di Zucca’ was quite good and so was Penne Alla Vodka (V). Tiramisu was superb.
My wife and I had a perfect night during one of Locanda’s Wine Bar special wine dinner events. Our hosts Tullio and Matteo were awesome, as always. The food was perfectly paired with several tasty whites and reds. Looking forward to their next wine Dinner in February.
