Stopped into Lioco on a recomendation and ended up staying way longer than planned. The service was so much fun. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tasting feel relaxed instead of scripted. The atmosphere was lively without being too loud, and sitting with a view of the plaza made it even better.
My two favorites were the Estero Chardonnay and the Mendocino Pinot Noir. Both were incredibly well balanced and easy to fall in love with for completely different reasons. You can tell a lot of care goes into the wines, but nothing about the experience feels pretentious.
If you’re in the area, this is absolutely worth a stop. Great wine, great people, and a spot that’s easy to settle into for an afternoon.

My girlfriend and I walked in on a Monday at 6:00 and the employee bluntly told us it was too late for a wine tasting and we could only have a glass of wine because they closed at 7:00. He then proceeded to ignore us as we stood around unsure of whether to sit and waiting for him to take our order. He was helping another customer for 5 minutes and never looked back at us. We finally left and went to a wonderful tasting room nearby where we were welcomed with open arms. This was one of the worst customer service moments I have had in wine country. We also saw the server leaving a nearby bar around 7:15 so it was clear he wanted to close up early and start his night!

My wife and I went to Lioco tasting room last week. We live in the area so we don’t take advantage of wine tasting as much as we should, but we had an hour to kill and we decided to go to the square in Healdsburg and Lioco was the perfect add to our afternoon. Sam took great care of us. He gave The tasting room a casual atmosphere that made us feel welcome. We left with some delicious wines that we will share.
