The energetic staff was great with great food. The manager was interactive and accommodating. The staff alone are worth the visit then add good food that isn’t basic has some of the extras. We ate at the smaller patio that allows for pets and is cozy with lattice that offers some privacy if preferred that has about 6x4person tables while the bigger patio, the one next to the hotel and wine bar enology, doesn’t allow dogs but has a great atmosphere and many date night two person tables that allows for more open and visibility.
Stopped by La Rosa on a warm evening and had a really nice experiance. The service was honestly the highlight. Everyone was super friendly and seemed to genuinly care that people were enjoying themselfs. They really went above and beyond for us.
We wanted to sit inside the main hall at a table by the big French windows, but they were still closed when we sat down. The staff moved a couple of patio tables outside and opened the French windows so we could enjoy the beautiful patio view with the downtown garden on the back and the fresh evening air. Small detail, but it made the whole dinner feel special.
The food came out almost in the blink of an eye. Our server was also thoughtful enough to mention not to over-order the guac since chips and salsa already come with it. Thats the kind of honesty you dont see very often, and it was much apreciated.
The enchiladas were cooked just right and the portion was easily enough for the two of us to share a single order portion (just order additional shells).
Inside, the place feels cozy, with really comfy leatherette chairs in the main dining room, while the building itself is spacious and well designed. The view through those open French windows toward the patio and garden on a warm summer night really just knocked it out of the park.
The only reason for the stars is that we had to wait for a little while before we were seated. The way the staff handled it, though, turned what could’ve been a small annoyance into a great first impresion.
Had the shrimp tacos (3 shrimp per taco) and they were too tangy. They charge $4.00 for salsa and chips when most restaurants give you that with your meal. The salsa was too hot to enjoy. The rice wasn’t a Spanish rice so that was disappointing. The host didn’t say thank you when I walked out. I will not be going back.
Taken my family who was visiting from mexico who was impressed with the dining experience, low dim light, a booth like table and the entire wall filled with roses which was perfect for back drop pictures, the mocktail beverage’s was amazing
Food & service was excellent. Minus one star for waitress offering us chips & salsa but not telling that there was a $4 charge attached to it. Also that the bathrooms only have hand dryers and not paper towels.
