Excellent food and service. The dishes were authentic- I had the carne asada enchilada which was very, very good. We made reservations for 18 and the table was ready and waiting even when some of us arrived 20 minutes early. Our server, Natalie, was excellent even with such a large group. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in Fort Bragg.

Everyone was happy with their meals (portion size, temperature, met expectation). Our server was great. The food had good flavor. My wife loved her strawberry margarita!

Delicious food and a very calm atmosphere. We ordered the fish corn tacos and the seafood tortilla bowl and it was absolutely fantastic! The tortilla bowl is literally a bowl made of a fried tortilla, it was so delicious. Also the fish was so tender and beautifully grilled. Will definitely come back again if we’re in Fort Bragg!

We had a craving for Mexican food and are so glad we found La Playa. The entire experience was excellent. We had friendly service, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was very clean. We had the house margarita and a Cadillac margarita both were good. We also ordered a wet, super, shrimp burrito along with enchiladas and tacos. All were delicious. The al pastor and carnitas were tender and flavorful, the shrimp burrito had shrimp in every bite. We would definitely come back again when we’re in the area.

We have an abundance of Mexican food in Fort Bragg but not ones with bars, there are two. Most of the reviews, including mine, are of the other place. I want to rave about La Playa! First they have margaritas too ✅ and awesome even well ones. They have amazing service with a staff that loves to serve, they know the meaning of customer service. The food is spectacular as well. They have a creative menu that can find something for everyone. I’ll be back because they are the only one I found with Buche, or Pork Belly and it is heavenly. I hope that you give these guys a chance, whether a local or tourist, you won’t be sorry. Oh and they have a takeout window as well so you don’t even need to get out of the car.
