This location seems to have replaced los dos..decided to give it a try.
Two of us ordered:
tacos de guisado $5.93/ea
pupusa $5.79
super burrito carne asada $14.17
3% card fee which was stated at POS
Ordering was a bit difficult if you speak english, and POS system also in Spanish.
Food takes awhile to come out. Chips were ok. The salsa that came with it was good. Salsa bar was not too cleanly with squeeze bottles. Burrito was a bit on the smaller side..nothing really stood out, a bit mushy too.
I was greeted by the owner as soon as I walked through the door. LMR is a local Mexican restaurant that opened recently after having success with their food truck business. Now they operate both mobile and stationary locations but their physical storefront is lesser known. They are on the South end of the plaza right behind a gas station. Their prices are incredibly reasonable which is a rare find these days. I got a super quesadilla with steak, homemade tortilla chips, and 4 carne asada tacos with cheese for under $30. Everything tasted great and I will definitely be a regular here. The best part of my experience was how approachable the owner is. I enjoyed the conversation we had while I waited for my food. Let’s support this local small business!
Stopped by for lunch and used to frequent this storefront when it was Dos Compadres, so nice to see La Morenita now in the spot. Service was quick and friendly and went with some tacos to try the various meats. Had the pastor and carnitas and really enjoyed both. Excited to come back and try more items next time!
I think this business is fairly new, taking over a space that was previously occupied by a different Mexican restaurant. It was fairly quiet when I walked in but the people are nice and the food is delicious. I ordered a birria ramen and it was made with such care. The consommé was so satisfying and the cheese and avocado pieces made me so excited. I’m definitely coming back for their tacos and recommending to friends. Knowing the virgen blesses everyone coming through the door made me feel quite comfortable too. I noticed there aren’t many photos of the space from inside or of the actual food yet, so I’m adding them.
From Taco Truck to restaurant, these guys are amazing, I have been coming to these guys for Shrimp Tacos for the last several years when they had the Taco Truck, very happy for them extended their business and opened a restaurant
The food is always delicious
