Had an amazing Sunday lunch experiencing the “Taste of Place” tasting! Quick tip for solo travelers: the website requires a party of 2+, but if you email the estate directly, they are happy to assist. The tasting was nice and intimate (only three of us total), and the host was incredibly knowledgeable about Napa Valley and the estate’s history. I thoroughly enjoyed every wine selection and ended up buying a few unique bottles that I can’t find in Hong Kong.

The wines, setting, and service were all spectacular. Nancy was the epitome of accommodating and gracious, and all the thoughtful little touches—like serving each wine at its perfect temperature—were not lost on us. We left with several wonderful bottles and a treasure trove of great memories.

Joseph Phelps was the absolute highlight of our trip to Napa Valley. The entire tasting experience was outstanding, living up to its great reputation.
The host made the session so comfortable and relaxed, sharing the stories behind the wines while letting us truly savor each pour. But the real showstopper was the view—looking down at the sun-drenched vineyards from the hilltop was incredibly peaceful and beautiful. It was the perfect way to wrap up the day. Highly recommend!

We’ve visited about a dozen vineyards in the Napa Valley / Sonoma region and I have to say that this winery is the nicest vineyard I’ve been to. The inside is beautiful and the views from the patio are stunning. Then of course you have amazing wine to taste! I only wish I had more time to spend here, next time we’ll plan for a longer visit. Couldn’t recommend this vineyard highly enough, it’s a special place!
