Had a phenomenal experience at Joseph Cellars. All of their wines we tasted were great. Our host Timmy was top notch and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The wine cellar is an experience of its own. You can tell that Joseph Cellars prides themselves on quality rather than quantity. We will be back again!
Excellent wine. All the wines were smooth the wine tour was awesome. Favorite out of the six wine tours I’ve done so far. Marie was an excellent guide.
Joseph Cellars Winery was such an amazing find and the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt intimate, welcoming, and truly special. It wasn’t crowded or rushed instead, it felt personal and thoughtfully curated, which made the celebration even more memorable.
The views were absolutely beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and enjoyable tasting. Sitting there with a glass of wine, taking in the scenery, made the whole afternoon feel peaceful and elevated. It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to slow down and savor every moment.
The wine itself was incredible smooth, well balanced, and full of flavor. Each pour felt intentional, and you could really taste the quality and care that goes into their winemaking. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a great tasting experience, the wines truly stand out.
What really tied everything together was the impeccable service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel celebrated. They created such a warm atmosphere, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every part of the experience. You can tell they care about their guests and take pride in what they do.
Overall, Joseph Cellars made my birthday celebration one to remember. Between the intimate setting, amazing wine, beautiful views, and outstanding service, it’s definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. If you’re looking for a winery that feels both special and welcoming, this is absolutely worth a visit.
This was a great 5 start experience. We were greeted by Mary that took us for a tour of the winery. She told us about the history and background of the company all the way through the different processes they use for the different wines. A very educational and very intimate presentation. Not only did they serve us different tastings of their wines, but also had a bite of food per each that perfectly paired with each wine. This is exactly how a wine tasting should be done. By end of the tour we were sold on some unique wines they have there and even ordered for some wine and olive oil to be shipped to our home. What a great unique experience. Would highly recommend this place if you want to go taste some great wines and have a wonderful experience doing so.
In my travels and my limited vineyard visits, my two favorite wine tasting experiences have been when I pull up to the vineyard and there’s not another car there. They were also both recommended by locals before I book them. One was in Montalcino, Italy, and the other one was in Calistoga California. Joseph Cellars is the second one. Coincidentally it’s also one of two vineyards where I did a visit and the owner of himself (and his wife(owner also) and his mother in law) not only said hello, but also talk with me and poured me a little bit of wine from one of their favorite bottles as well. If that’s not enough to get you to visit this place and consider becoming a member, I’m not sure what will be. Timmy was our wine guide on this particular Saturday, and Maddy booked us. It was a last-minute booking and I was so thankful that they had room. What a wonderful experience going all the way back in the cave around a dimly lit table while enjoying food and wine. Timmy was very knowledgeable not only about the wine, but also about the area, which was very helpful as we took his restaurant recommendation for that evening and canceled our other one (goose and Gander in Saint Helena). Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.
