Food is excellent! Service is terrible! I was in there with about one other small group of people – we waiting 35 minutes for our food – other tables who came in after us got their appetizers and drinks before we even got a glimpse of our food (35 minutes later). Finished our food and nobody came with a check or to clear plates for at least 10 minutes. Then after that I was waiting for my card back for another 10 minutes and the waiter asked me if we were all good…still with no receipt or card back. Odd. It’s a shame because the food is really good, but I unfortunately will not be going back.

This place is a gem. It is a cozy restaurant with great food and friendly staff. We were a group of 3 for lunch and I regret not taking pictures as I want to remember what we ordered. But, I also know I cannot go wrong with anything they serve. Thanks for the onion rings, they were unexpected and soo good! We shall return!

I have eaten at Jidaiya a few times when I come to Rohnert park and each time their sushi is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and on time. I highly recommend eating here and if you live in the area do not pass them up! They are also affordable and got all of this for $31 after tax and tip. They even stamp the wasabi into a leaf which is a nice aesthetic touch 5⭐️

Atmosphere is spot on, it’s exactly what you’d expect to see for a ramen shop. Service was kind and accommodated for my taste that was a little off the menu. (I wanted a pork tonkotsu ramen) so they made a side of it for me with my chicken ramen.
The gyoza was probably one of the tastiest I’ve had here on the mainland.
Chicken karaage was spectacular as well.
My only wish was that the chicken ramen broth was a little more flavorful.

I was supposed to travel to Japan in spring of 2020. Needless to say, that trip hasn’t happened yet. I’m so excited to have just found this wonderful little place. From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed. The sushi was great, the sake was great, and this green tea ice cream was fantastic. Can’t wait to get back.
