Had an INCREDIBLE experience here for my 30th Birthday Dinner. Just me and one friend and we were both so happy with our food and drinks. I’ve been thinking about my food for two days straight. I can’t wait to go back. Our server was amazing! I got a Moscow mule and my friend got a mocktail. Both of our drinks were amazing. You can definitely dress up here but I also did see people in just jeans and a t-shirt. A great option for spending a little bit more money without completely breaking the bank.
Jackson’s Bar & Oven in Santa Rosa was a really solid dining experience overall. The place has a lively but still comfortable atmosphere—great for a casual meal, a relaxed evening out, or meeting up with friends without it feeling too loud or chaotic.
I ordered the roasted cauliflower, roasted asparagus, and the mixed mushroom pizza. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, with good balance in flavors and a nice attention to texture and seasoning. The vegetables tasted properly roasted rather than overdone, and the pizza had a good crust with a satisfying mix of earthy mushroom flavors that stood out without being heavy.
Service was friendly and efficient throughout the visit, and the food came out at a good pace without feeling rushed or delayed. Overall, it’s a dependable spot in Santa Rosa if you want good food, a relaxed vibe, and consistent execution. I’d definitely go back again when in the area
Great portions!
Visited after being reccomended this restaurant by the Sonoma Hyatt hotel and was very surprised by the large portions. The waiter also said that the meal can divided for two people before it is taken to the table. Everything was delicious, fries were really good too!
If will be in the area, will be back as the menu had lots of good sounding choices
If you’re looking for a spot that truly understands the art of the fry, Jackson’s Bar and Oven is a serious contender. I kicked things off with the Neoclassic Buffalo wings, which were fried to absolute perfection—crispy, juicy, and exactly what you want in a wing. Having the buffalo sauce served on the side with a bed of fresh lettuce was a thoughtful touch, ensuring the crunch stayed intact until the very last bite.
The momentum only picked up with the mains. The Mixed Mushroom pizza is clearly a house specialty, benefiting from that unmistakable brick-oven char and high-quality ingredients. While the mushrooms were earthy and fresh, it was the truffle oil drizzle that really kicked the flavor profile into another gear. Even the fried chicken sandwich impressed; it was a substantial meal served with a generous portion of salad that felt like a proper, balanced accompaniment rather than a plate filler.
However, the absolute show-stealer of the evening was the Chicken Meatballs served with crispy polenta. To put it bluntly: it blew my mind. The contrast between the tender meatballs and the crunch of the polenta created a dish that was both sophisticated and deeply comforting. It is one of those rare, standout plates that makes a restaurant memorable and is worth the visit to Jackson’s all on its own.
Rounding out the excellent food was the top-tier hospitality. The service was remarkably attentive, with the staff cleaning the table after every single course and promptly replacing dirty dishes with fresh, clean ones. It’s rare to find such polished service in a casual setting, and it truly elevated the entire dining experience.
I realize I have not been to Jackson’s in quite some time and after a little hike, ww were ready for a cocktail and a bite.
The ambience is super nice with tasteful decor and a good vibe. Both the server and the hostess were incredibly friendly and efficient.
My friend and I both enjoyed a fabulous cocktail that was super refreshing. The beet citrus salad was spot on. I don’t think I’ve ever had one quite so good. The downfall was the gluten-free pizza unfortunately. The crust just wasn’t very good. It’s unfortunate that places charge extra to have a gluten-free crust.
I’d come back for the beet salad and cocktail anytime, but I’ll pass on the pizza.
