Jack’s hardware & grocery store has just about everything thing you need to start a project or finish up a project.
Couple of buildings in the back hold building supplies & pipe & such.
Limited groceries but good enough for a small business.
Staff is very helpful & asks if I need help just about every time I’m in.
Jack’s hardware saves all the locals the hour and a half trip to Ukiah and back. The employees are friendly and helpful. Their store is an asset to our community.
We are very lucky to have a locally owned and managed hardware store in Philo. They usually have what we need. Yeah, each item may cost a little more but Jack’s saves a drive of 45 min each way to the Ukiah corporate big box stores so it probably saves time and money to use this local store plus keep the money local.
I always appreciate a small town hardware store with an extensive plumbing inventory. It’s nice to know there are still stores like Jack’s Valley Store, owned and operated by people who care about the needs of others enough to invest their time, wealth and knowledge where it counts the most. The kind of people that made these United States of America what they are today, Strong and proud of it.
Stores like Home Depot may have the items you need, if you can find them and, already know how to use them. But if you need advice you’d better go to a real hardware store unless you can find the one employee who used to work at one.
Thanks for your help Jack,

Very helpful staff. Wide selection of products available. If you can’t find it, you probably didn’t really need it.
