Been wine tasting in the Anderson Valley for 16 years. Never had such a bad experience as at Husch. Our server gave us the smallest taste, almost not enough to even taste the wines. She told us nothing about any of the wines. She rushed us through the tasting at warp speed even though we told her repeatedly we were not in a hurry. We observed another staff member who was giving other customers a ‘normal’ taste and wasn’t rushing them out. Terrible vibe there. We went to Navarro earlier in the day and went to Lula after Husch and had wonderful times at both those vineyards that we love.
Wonderful experience and excellent wines! So warm and welcoming, providing great stories of the history of the winery and wine production. The staff is obviously a family that believes in the winery and the quality of what they are producing! We felt right at home and our dog so welcomed.
A pleasant surprise discovery! This winery offers complimentary wine tastings, and the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in recommending wines based on our preferences. We ended up finding a few that we really enjoyed and took some home with us. They also have restrooms available for visitors.
Located near Mendocino in the Anderson Valley, Husch Vineyards tasting room is in a beautiful, quaint cabin surrounded by redwoods. We visited on a Thursday in late May, and it was pretty quiet. Tasting was casual and relaxed. Wines that are common in this area were all very good. What’s worth pointing out is that they offer some unique wines that are not often seen in this region, for example, Gewürztraminer and Muscat. Overall, a very good experience and we went home with some delicious wines.
We did a tasting there with Patty. She was fun, warm, and inviting. Very informative. We love the old school tasting, no charge. Seems unbelievable today & we bought three bottles of some pretty tasty wine. They’re sauvignon blanc was one of the best I’ve had. This is definitely worth a stop!
