Ok, so, I am not the hugest cider fan, but this place makes pretty good cider. The hot cider on a cold day really hit the spot. The grounds are also stunning and very cozy.
What made this experience 5 stars though was the barkeep, Brian (or Bryan, sorry!) He was quite a character, funny, engaging and super knowledgeable. Moreover, when another patron became slightly too verbose about politics, he shifted the conversation away easily to make sure everyone continued to enjoy their stay.
Finally found decent cider that does not taste like pure sugar. It was a fun experience, I did the Tasting ($20) and walked around the apple trees in between pours. During winter they have several fires going so it’s cozy and serene. It’s interesting to see the tree age, amazing they are 100-130+ years old.
Been a huge fan of Gowan’s apple cider (both alcoholic and non- alcoholic) over the years. So glad that they are finally able to have their own tasting area. Such a wonderful spot, tucked into a grove of apple trees. Perfect for a picnic. They have a great selection of ciders, from tart to sweet and spiced! Truly a little bit of California magic in a bottle!

Overall, good drinks and good company!
