We’ve dined for breakfast many times over the years.
1. Some reviews say the coffee is strong. Our experience was the coffee was good but not necessarily strong.
2. Service has always been fast & friendly. Our server was fun.
3. Gillwoods scramble was good with plenty of cheese. The omelette (eggs) were a bit over cooked. Substituting a blueberry muffin was $1 more.
3. I had 2 egg breakfast which was expensive as the added ham was $3, fruit was $3, & a pancake was $3 for a $24 meal. The eggs were overcooked everything else was great. Best to ask “how much?” If cost is important. Gillwoods needs a 2+2+2 for $19.
Such a lovely slice of St. Helena. The food was great, but what really shown was the friendly service and the great atmosphere.
All the servers were incredibly friendly and they serve great drinks! Highly recommend it. I normally take more pics but got so wrapped up in the fun energy I forgot to take more.
We did get drinks and a cinnamon roll dessert, but very practical prices!
We totally enjoyed the food here. Great eggetarian options. Loved the Huevos Rancheros and hash browns. The inside room is great for a quieter ambiance.
First visit to Gillwood cafe, Christmas Eve brunch was delicious! The huevo rancheros with red sauce was incredible. Loved the beautiful Christmas touches around the restaurant!
We stopped by Gillwoods Cafe after visiting a nearby winery.
The pesto basil chicken was the standout
the pesto and basil flavor was fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the melted cheese made it even better.
The A.B.L.T. had a classic, clean taste.
I also saw pancakes and French toast at the next table, and they looked amazing, so I’d love to try their brunch menu next time.
Parking can be a bit tough, so just keep that in mind.
