Lovely campground. The road to the campground seemed sketchy but much of the abandoned vehicles were being towed and cleaned up after we got there. Service was great. The people were fabulous!
I was concerned that places we went to go down to the river were warning about algae blooms and dogs had died going into the river and I wish that the camp owners had explained these risks.
We found out from the rangers in the area.
But a beautiful campy with lovely people. Would camp there again.

This is such an amazing place. The spaces are large enough to accommodate rigs of many different lengths with pop outs. The WiFi service is more than adequate for routine tasks. (We didn’t try to stream any video.)
The staff were so very polite and helpful. The checkin process was seamless as was the escort service to my site. This was my first time driving a (rented) RV and I was feeling less than confident in my ability to back in the 25 foot long EV my assigned space. Without any hesitation or discerning, my escort, Jeff, honored my request and guided me in.
During my stay, I discovered that the cover to the pop up was missing. Jeff offered a loan me a tarp, gave me some zip ties and assisted in jury-rigging a cover for the pop up frame.
Jeff & his wife, who works there front desk, are some of the nicest and friendliest people I have met. Hands down, they are a strong asset to the RV park.

I came here to have a fun and relaxing weekend with my friends after graduation and to celebrate a couple birthdays. We wanted to be together once more before we part ways to college and achieve greater education. Instead of having an easy check in and set up, we were discriminated against for our ages. Everyone attending this trip was 18, a legal adult. We were told that we could not stay there due to there not being an adult present. We were labeled as unattended minors, but according to state law, we had no minors present. The site was paid for, and the car was registered, (an additional car was going to be paid for once checked in). We were willing and going to pay the fees for an extra vehicle and people if necessary. Though we weren’t given the chance to even get to that point. My friends dad drove the trailer down for us and had already checked in and set it up. After being told to leave, he was understandably frustrated, as would anyone, but to say that we were abusive towards your staff is a delusional statement. If you don’t want to allow 18 year olds to stay at your campground, state it in a policy so its known. Its understandable you have had problems in the past with young adults, but you’re painting with a broad brush and putting every young adult under the same label.

What a great RV park. we stayed here for 3 days while touring the nearby redwood parks. The park itself is awesome – well laid out, perfectly maintained and staffed with very friendly, helpful people. The bathrooms are as clean as my house! The sites are spacious and well maintained. The park backs onto the Eel river, so there is easy access to the river. It is right off Avenue of the Giants, so also easy access to many great redwoods groves (Founders and Rockefeller are my favorites). It is very quiet and access is strictly controlled, so we felt it was also very safe and didn’t need to lock up any of our outside “stuff”.
Definitely one of the nicest RV parks we have ever stayed at.
P.S. Don’t be put off by the approach road (it’s a bit trashy), once you enter the park it’s like a different world – just beautiful trees everywhere.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely a hidden gem!
Giant Redwoods RV & Cabin Destination has quickly become one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. If you’re looking for peace, beauty, and a true escape from the busy world, this place is something special. Waking up surrounded by towering redwoods feels unreal, the scenery is breathtaking and pictures truly don’t do it justice.
The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. It has that rare feeling where you instantly feel comfortable and don’t want to leave. Whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the trees, exploring the area, or simply slowing down and taking in nature, there’s something about this place that just feels good for the soul.
One thing that really stood out to me was how incredibly clean and well cared for everything is. The bathrooms are hands down some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen at any campground, and if you’ve camped much, you know how rare that is. The entire property is beautifully landscaped and thoughtfully maintained, which adds to the peaceful feeling throughout the campground.
The staff is also some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience and making guests feel welcome.
And the private river access is truly the icing on the cake. Being able to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the river surrounded by giant redwoods makes this place feel even more magical.
The location is perfect for exploring the Avenue of the Giants and nearby attractions, but honestly, the campground itself makes you want to stay put and soak in every moment.
This has truly become my home away from home. If you’re considering staying here, do it, you’ll understand the moment you arrive.
