I have been to this location numerous times and would usually give it 5 stars. In fact I have been eating at Genoa delicatessen’s in the Bay Area since I was a little girl. Today we got home and one of our sandwiches has no mortadella on it. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. The problem is, we live 30 minutes away and they are too busy to answer the phone. I get that mistakes are made, however, we spent $130 dollars getting sandwiches and expect to have meat on our sandwiches.

Stopped here for lunch today with a few friends. Let me tell you the service and food was top notch. Go got out numbers once we entered and were quickly greeted by Tony. He recommended the Italian sandwich and brought us some meat raviolis. I highly recommend this spot on your way up for wine tasting or just to stop on in.

After lots of bistros and fancy spots, sometimes ya just want a big sandwich with a ton of salami and all the goodies. This place was great, huge sandwich, so a half sandwich is prob enough for most people. The pasta salads were also amazing. Grab your sandwich and side and go sit by the river.

The most delicious deli sandwich I have had from recent memory! I ordered the #4 prosciutto sandwich with mozzarella, basil, tomato, onions, and peppers. The employee was super nice and didn’t even charge me extra for all the other toppings. Cute seating area in the cafe. Plenty of chips, deli meats, cheeses, wines, fizzy beverages, and other fun stuff like that. Felt like a real community establishment.

The specialty sandwiches were 18$ and very good, but, inconsistently made. We went there three days in a row and got the same thing and all three days it was made differently. Too much balsamic one day I couldn’t even taste the meat. The eggplant is soaked in balsamic one day and not the next .. it was better without. One day many tomatoes, the next, very few. But they were good. I would go back. They have Italian soda which is simply flavored syrup in soda water which was actually pretty good. They have a few sugar-free flavors as well.
