Burrito supreme with carnitas was tasty but I didn’t see/taste any sour cream or guacamole in it at all…speaking of the guacamole, which we ordered, it was tiny and yet cost $4.00! Also, very small bag of chips that was half full. Had the order to go so maybe better at the restaurant? They could do much better!

Gallina D’ Oro in Healdsburg is very nice, up scale and reasonably priced. The food is over the top delicious. We started with the guacamole along with complimentary chips and excellent salsa. For our main course we had the Molcajete. It came out bubbling hot with huge portions of New York steak, tender Chicken and Prawns in a slightly spicy tomato and onion sauce. The fixings rice, beans, crema and verde sauce come on an extra plate with homemade tortillas. We are outside on Saturday night and the ambiance is stunning. The wait staff was so attentive I never had to ask for anything, so refreshing for outdoor dining. I can’t wait to go back, and Highly Recommend the Gallina D’ Oro.

We had tickets for a show at the Raven theater in Healdsburg and after some searching on Yelp I decided on Gallina D’ Oro and booked a reservation. We chose the outdoor seating and were greeted instantly by a friendly server and the menus.

I ordered the Mezcal Sunset (Mezcal, passion fruit, pineapple, basil, ginger beer) and my wife had the La Pollita (Herradura Blanco, fresh lime, rich simple syrup). Both were delicious. We enjoyed chips and salsa while going over the menu – many good sounding choices.

My wife went with the Barbacoa Burrito and I ordered the Barbacoa plate.
We both loved the flavor of the Barbacoa beef which was succulent, tender and full of flavor. We agreed that my choice was the winner of the two. While the burrito was very good – the Barbacoa beef in the plate which was served in a small pot allowed the flavor to stand on its own. I enjoyed the black beans and slightly spiced Spanish rice with the tortillas.

And our server (I wish I got her name) was wonderful. Prompt, friendly and attentive – and happy to answer questions and recommend great choices.
    We will definitely return!
