Perfect source for small loads of wood for camping! Reasonable prices and good selection! I highly recommend this spot!
My family is doing a 4 day, 3 night stay at Russian gulch and didn’t have the space to pack our own wood. Figured we would buy local when we arrived. Found this spot on Google maps and decided to check it out.
The owner has a large yard full of wood that is getting seasoned and he sells bundles from $20 through $60 and you can mix and match. Definitely cheaper than Safeway and much higher quality! $60 worth of wood filled the trunk of my car practically to bursting so it’s nice bonfires every night!
Yes the price to quantity is higher than if compared to buying it a cord at a time but I’m not stocking up for the winter, I’m buying a weekends worth of wood for a camping trip and I’m also buying the luxury of not having to carry the wood from home. It’s a great deal!
We have gone here the last two times we have been to fort brag to camp. And plan on going this weekend. The older gentleman is extremely nice. People that say it’s to expensive shoulda thought ahead a brought there own firewood to camp.
We have been here multiple times during our annual camping trip and have always been treated well. The price seems in line with other tourist prices, so def willing to help support this business every year!
Very friendly man that was open both times I stopped. He has more wood than you can take, both seasoned oak and fir. Reasonable amount of wood for the price.

seems good for camping and small quantities, but not as effective for locals with wood stoves looking to buy wood a cord or more at a time.
still a much better deal than Safeway if you’re just looking to have a campfire or burn in a fireplace for a night.
