Stoked to have this in Fairfax. Big shoes to fill after Iron Springs closed and Henhouse failed pretty badly at this location. Fairfax Brew Co has become a town favorite. Friendly staff and owners. Food is always great. Happy hour menu from 2pm-5pm is an amazing deal. Outside seating is great for after a mountain bike ride
Excellent wine! Most breweries have a crap wine selection but Fairfax Brewing thinks of everything. I can’t drink beer and I wanted to enjoy the lovely atmosphere, and I’m happy to share that the wine buyer is obviously very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Food is perfection as well. The only very minor suggestion I have would be to see women’s sports on one of the TVs because I find it more interesting.
Becoming a regular at the BrewCo in Fairfax now. The food has been great since day one. The burger is top notch and the ‘McDonald’s style’ fries are legit. But the menu is varied – love the lumpia, bulgogi, tacos and nachos as well.
The recent revelation is how much better the beer is now than when it first opened. I’ve always liked their Pastori pilsner, Fuego Fuerte lager, and Repack Red amber, but the Lazer Coyote Hazy is awesome now as is Town & Country IPA and the Liquid Sunshine Double IPA.
Great, friendly atmosphere, lots of space, and the MOST comfortable bar seats ever!
Works perfect for lunch, dinner, and just some good beer drinking. Get there!
Disappointing Food and Service at Fairfax Brewing Company
I’ve been to Fairfax Brewing Company in Fairfax, CA, multiple times, and it’s been a letdown every visit. The fish and chips are a major disappointment—priced high but tasting like cheap, frozen food straight from a box. For what they charge, I expected so much more.
The nachos were even worse. The cheese was cold and had this weird, paste-like consistency. It’s like they didn’t even bother to melt it properly—just a total disaster.
The owner’s attitude doesn’t help either. They’re always around, but it feels like they couldn’t care less about the customers. There’s no effort to make you feel valued or ensure a good experience.
Overall, this place falls short on both value and service. I wanted to like it, but it’s just not worth the trip.
Great experience at Fairfax brewing company. They have a large outdoor area with benches closest to the building. Having heat lamps that work really well. Inside the tables move around to accommodate different size groups. We had the whipped feta, fish and chips as well as the special which was a katsu sandwich. The whipped feta was out of this world with the perfect amount of honey. We also really liked our fish and chips which came with one large piece of fish and a good amount of chips and the the katsu sandwich was perfectly cooked. I will also say that the food came out incredibly quickly!
