First time going here. Last time going here. Ordered takeout. Thought it would be a good taste test. Google said 4.5 stars… should be good… no.
Got a burrito à la carte and an enchilada combo.
Enchiladas came out ice cold. I brought it back to the restaurant. They corrected their mistake and remade our order it was now warm and the cheese was now melted.
Burrito was decent. Nothing special. Obviously cold now because I brought back the enchiladas.
Apparently their pico de gallo is a pinch of onion and cilantro so don’t expect actual pico de gallo.
Then to be joked about when I’m waiting for my remade food, saying I was “running late” or “behind”. I literally showed up 5min early and my food was already done.
Anyway.
Bottom line.
Not good Mexican food.
Ice cold enchiladas.
Bland burrito.
Not enjoyable service.

As someone who has been frequenting El Pueblito for my entire life (35 years) I regret to say that El Pueblito is a shell of its former self. The staff and atmosphere are all great. But the chips are consistently stale. VERY stale! The food itself is also very, very lackluster compared to its glory days. I hope they take this one single review to heart. I know the owner has basically stepped aside and relegated authority to their employees. But, I hope they turn the food around. Please dont try to save money on the chips and salsa. Both are nowhere near what they used to be. Thabks for all the years of serving the community. You still have a place in my heart. Whoever reads this, please take care. Much love.

This is a great place to go to. They have really great food and great service. I have been coming here for over 50 years. My parents brought me here first when I was a child. It has always been a great place to go for a meal. This time I went there close to closing time. So it was quiet and hardly anyone there.

Slow as snails service and they weren’t busy. Received drink, chips and salsa and then was forgotten about and ignored until I raised my voice to get the waitress’ attention.
House salsa only. If you’re only going to offer house salsa, make it special. This wasn’t.
Taco shells were neither crunchy or soft. It was like trying to bite through leather so I just ate what was inside the shell.
Shredded beef was good but could have used more spices when cooked. Refried beans were too salty. Enchilada sauce was red colored water. Runny and no flavor.
The only thing that kept the meal from being a total loss was the chili verde had good flavor and the pork was tender. But by the time I got to the chili verde the die was cast and the experience completely ruined.
