Apparently they now have a 25% service fee plus an additional 3% credit card charge. Bad service – waters were not refilled. I suppose locking in 25% up front changes incentives. Decent food, cool spot, but unfortunately not worth it anymore. Better options elsewhere

The best Mexican food in the Danville/San Ramon area is at El Nido. Delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine, especially the tacos and carnitas. Tasty margaritas. Fast, friendly service. The Soltero family has been serving local customers well for many years. They also do an incredible job in catering. We recently host a party catered by El Nido, and everyone in attendance raved about the food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Nido in Danville, a hidden gem that serves up some of the most authentic Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home.
The food here is truly a standout. Every dish bursts with flavor and authenticity, from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the rich and savory mamas chicken soup. You can tell that each recipe has been passed down through generations, with ingredients that are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re a fan of spicy salsas or prefer something milder, there’s something on the menu for everyone.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the owner. Julia personally greets every guest with a genuine smile and makes it a point to ensure everyone feels like part of the family. During our visit, she even took the time to chat with us and take a photo with our kids, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s clear that she cares deeply about her customers and the community.
If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience with incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere, El Nido is the place to go. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

I’ve been coming to el nido since I was a child, and I always make a stop here when I’m home! Their chicken soup is my comfort food, especially on a rainy day (add cheese and jalapeños)! Their chips and salsa are delicious, I also love their quesadilla, taco salad, and fajitas! They do great catering my family gets it for every family event we have! Their staff is so nice and welcoming they make you feel like you’re a part of their family!
