Drakes in Bodega Bay is a beautiful spot with a stunning view and a comfortable, relaxed dining atmosphere. The setting right by the water makes for a memorable experience — there’s something special about enjoying your dinner with the scenery right beside you. It’s a little on the pricey side, but honestly worth it for the ambiance and quality of the experience. The combination of good food, a calm vibe, and that gorgeous view makes it a great choice whether you’re celebrating something special or just want a peaceful evening out. Highly recommend grabbing a table near the window if you can. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We had a fantastic experience at Drakes Sonoma Coast, enjoying both dinner and breakfast during our stay. I really appreciate my friend arranged this amazing trip.
The restaurant has a great balance of relaxed coastal atmosphere with an upscale dining feel. For dinner, the menu stood out with fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring organic vegetables and high-quality seafood. Everything we ordered was well-executed, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Breakfast was just as impressive, with a wide variety of options that made it hard to choose. From lighter healthy dishes to more indulgent comfort-style plates, everything we tried was fresh and satisfying.
Service throughout both meals was excellent, attentive, friendly, and smooth without feeling rushed. The overall vibe is warm and welcoming, making it a place you naturally want to linger a little longer.
A great spot for anyone looking for coastal dining that feels both refined and grounded in fresh, local ingredients.

Patrick was the best.. pleased to meet the guy.. busy guy.. moving and making things happen for everyone. Deals with some picky people.. great view of the bay.. would like to eat here in a heavy storm.. perfect place for the stars!

Want a worthwhile dining experience when in Bodega Bay? Check out Drakes, as we recently celebrated there with a birthday dinner. The food was delicious. We shared a large Young Lettuce Salad that was fantastic. For entrees, my partner loved her halibut, especially the sides; I went with the oven-roasted chicken, which was one of the most tender and flavorful pieces of poultry I have ever experienced. For dessert, my partner enjoyed a piece of birthday cake, while I enjoyed three scoops of gelato. Excellent finale. Wine selection is good, with a number of choices “by the glass.” Service was great. Our server was attentive, prompt and personable. He answered our questions, which helped us in making our selections. The environment is very nice; for attire, we saw everything from jeans to sport coats. Views look out onto the water. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night — in the dining room, bar and at outside fire pits. Noise level was pretty high, but easy to talk over. We stopped at one of the fire pits one the way out to combat the chilly January night. If you want a great dining experience when in Bodega Bay, check out Drakes.

We absolutely loved it! Heaven on Earth! Luis made us feel like princesses! The food was amazing! We enjoyed our cocktails. The views are spectacular with the fire pits when it’s chilly you will never want to go home! 🙂
