Traveling solo feels intimidating sometimes, and Dennys felt like the safest option while staying in crescent city. This was honestly the best dennys i’ve ever been to. The service was great, the food was genuinely really good too!

The food here is pretty good, but I feel like they could take a little more care. Sometimes part of the meal is only warm while the rest is hot and fresh. I have had a hair in my food on more than one occasion. The veggies on sandwiches are very fresh. Sometimes the service is slow, but the people are friendly. I think some of the items are overpriced, but what isn’t nowadays. I would go back, but I think there is room for improvement.

After a long 5-hour drive, we arrived in the Crescent City area around 9:30 PM feeling tired and hungry. We noticed Denny’s was still open and decided to stop in—and we’re so glad we did!
From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel welcome right away. Our waitress, Sierra, provided exceptional hospitality despite the late hour. She patiently answered our questions about the menu and even shared some great local recommendations when we asked about things to do in the area. Crystal was also incredibly kind, keeping our waters filled and helping create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Together, they brought the classic diner experience to life.
The food was outstanding. My pancake kids meal was the perfect portion since I wasn’t overly hungry, and my husband’s burger was cooked to perfection. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and we were impressed by how quickly our food came out after ordering.
I gave this place 5 stars, but honestly, it deserves even more. Great food, excellent service, and genuine hospitality made this a memorable stop on our trip. The next time we’re passing through this part of California, we’ll definitely be stopping here again—and I highly recommend that you do too!

It’s a Denny’s, what else do you expect? Food will always be mid. I gave it 5 Stars because the service was excellent. That’s pretty much what it boils down to. I saw some reviews mentioned prices but…this IS California so…what did you expect? I guess I can say that the CFC was overcooked given the dark color and maybe the oil was old? I did get upcharged on the Mac n Cheese without being told there would be one…
Althought, California prices PLUS tax is CRAZY!

Greeted upon entering and seated immediately. Our server was polite and friendly. The food was prepared and served quickly. Clean and friendly environment. Very happy with this location.
