I can’t recommend David’s enough! My wife and I stopped by for breakfast and had fantastic eggs, sausage, hash browns and pancakes. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the food came out very quickly. We really enjoyed our experience here!
Now this is a great breakfast place! It was packed when we got there, but they are efficient getting tables cleaned and people seated. The vibe in there is cool with art on the walls. The locals that came in were known by the owner by name. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and the gravy was top notch! The potatoes are perfectly cooked, although they could be a little more seasoned. My wife got the veggie omelette, which had an abundance of vegetables. One of the best veggie omelettes I’ve seen in a while. My daughter’s Minte Cristo was also fantastic. A plus was the fact that they had French roast or regular coffee available as well. This is how you run a restaurant!
When looking for breakfast it’s slim pickings in Fort Bragg but you don’t have to look any further than David’s. The locals eat here and so should you. Large plates (small ones too if you’d like) & a very friendly staff that has all the knowledge in town. Secret spots, construction, areas to avoid? Just ask! The chicken fried steak was delicious and even better as leftovers. Depending on when you go, it can get busy so wake up a tad earlier breathe the fresh ocean air & get some breakfast!
If you onky have time to do one thing in Fort Bragg make sure you stop in to David’s. Here’s to the chefs who make homemade salsa, cook perfect huevos rancheros, and serve up a plate of the biggest most delicious biscuits and gravy. Just don’t plan on going swimming afterwards.
Even on a crazy busy day the servers made time for a friendly chat. There is also a back room woth cozy chairs if you want to sit and read or let the kiddies play a bit. And the the best part…the mugs. Just like home every mug is different and sure to have a story behind it. Feliz Navidade! David’s is everything a you want in a local restaurant.
Staff were warm and welcoming from the minute we walked in the door. The food was absolutely incredible and very large portions. I’m a sucker for a good homemade gravy and let me tell you, theirs is by far the best I’ve ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough!
