Cox Family Vineyards is a boutique winery atop a hill overlooking Ukiah in Mendocino County. This relatively new label currently has three varietals with more to follow. The winemaker has done an exceptional job, especially with the JLC Cab Sauv. Although I am not a sommelier, it was no surprise to read it had won an award from the San Francisco Chronicle. Definitely worth making a trip to the website!
I was introduced to this winery by a friend and now I’ve ordered several bottles. The 2017 Sauv Blanc and their Rose are both delicious, I don’t like sweet wines and both of these deliver fruity and floral notes without any icky sweetness and have a nice dry finish. I highly recommend trying them out!
Loved this 2018 rosé and loved the lavender pouch that came with it. My fiancée made lavender syrup from it for coffee. We also received a bottle of the 2018 Sauv Blanc for free so that was a wonderful surprise!

My favorite wine comes from here. Always have to restock when I can. You won’t go wrong drinking their wine!
