i’m a napa local and fan of la cheve!
we had a large group reservation (connection to owner), so our experience might’ve been different – though i loved everything. similar to la cheve’s menu, they have staple dishes, but can be easy to get tired of. the drinks were fantastic and the food was delicious!
i would go back specifically for drinks
I have been there twice now for birria Sundays and the service and food does not disappoint! 10/10. The only thing I will say is reservations are highly recommended. We sat outside last Sunday and noticed many people trying to walk in and they were turned away because of max capacity or offered to come back at 2-4 h later, so I’d recommend making a reservation!
The experience here was top-notch. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive and welcoming. The food was truly amazing—every dish was prepared perfectly. If you enjoyed La Cheve Bakery and Brews, consider this your must-visit next stop. A phenomenal restaurant!
Had the chance to finally try it out last night, and it was worth well worth the visit. Sat at the bar and started off w/ a carajillo which was prepared well. For food I had the enchilada stack with some added arrachera, it was really delicious and reminded of my parents cooking. If you like a mildly spicy margarita you need to ask for their Los compadres cocktail. The service at the bar was great
