I lived right up the hill in 1977 and went to Mendocino Junior High. Every weekend me and all the other kids would hang out here drinking Mt. Dew and eating Doritos. Good times. RIP Neva and Dylan.

The best of small town general stores in the middle of nowhere. All the staples, no sandwiches made to order but can get sliced lunch meats and cheese. Good selection of snacks, drinks, beer and wine. Ice cream and ice (if the locals haven’t bought it all out) for those hot days. Gas, no diesel. Local merch.

Cash only isn’t a bad thing, nor is it a secret, it is very plainly posted before you even get inside. As is there being no restrooms.

whenever we’re in town to visit family, the store has everything we need. they take card now, but cash waives the transaction fee.
perfect in a pinch to hop 5 minutes down the road and get some deli meat and cheese in time to make spontaneous sandwiches for the fam. lots of fun comptche merch from locals. we also love they keep the stock up on It’s-Its! đŸ˜‰
