The bread sucks. I’ve tried the sandwiches on at least four separate occasions and the bread is always stale and/or hard. Outside of the bread, the contents are great. Idk if I need to come first thing to get fresh bread or if this is just the case. Workers that made my sandwich and at checkout were a bit dismissive during my last visit, but it was towards closing so maybe they’re just tired. Overall, good products but a bit overpriced and sandwich bread sucks.

Great, classic American Italian Market. Baked goods and desserts are solid (perhaps my favorite cookie of all time is found here, the chocolate dIpped clamshell cookies, the best cookie ever since Tony’s Continental Bakery in Hubbard Woods – those who know, know of what I write – Long Live Tony Sobat, Master Baker!!).
But I digress . . .
Great Italian deli by Southern California standards – well curated salami selection, great meats, well selected deli cheeses – everything you may need to have a very happy belly and well appointed antipasta tray. GREAT sandwiches- worth the wait. Always a line at the deli, because, well, it’s worth it and people respect it. Don’t worry, you can always find someone interesting to talk to, and the people are very friendly, customers and employees. Talk Italian food – it’s a guaranteed ice breaker.
Grab a bag of pizza dough, some pizza sauce and mozz from the fridge next to the deli, a bottle of wine (next to the fridge by the deli) guaranteed crowd pleaser for home. Save some of the dough to make a gorganzola and walnut foccaia or a creation of your own. Or grab one of the million options of pasta, some sauce and sausage ( better yet, grab a can of your favorite brand of REAL San Marzanos – yes, they are worth it – and make your own sauce), a loaf of bread (yummmm. . .) and a few cannoli or some Tiramisu and share with your loved one(s).

Claro’s in Tustin is the place for choice Italian deli meats and cheeses, quality pastas and sauces, fresh baked breads and delicious desserts. Great sandwiches, deli style salads and friendly, professional service make it easy to understand why this family-owned business has been doing it’s thing for over 75 years.
Wait times at the deli counter can be long, so pack your patience and grab your ticket service number 1st thing.

The delicious aroma of Italian food is transcendent. The stuff they have is quality. They have pretty good prices, though a little high, it is a small and specialty market, so I get it. Its a busy place on Sunday afternoon for lunch for good reason. They have some really special and flavorful things that you cant find easily elsewhere. The freshness is second to none. Everyone here is chill and friendly! Sandwich line took a while, but its all freshly cut and prepared. This ain’t no subway italian sandwich. I’ll be back for some of these specialty pastas, sauces, and meats!
