Great trail for hiking and running. Beautiful views at sunset/sunrise. once you get to the bench after going straight after the switchbacks there are rolling hills ahead that loop around. Nice enclosed but also open feeling at the same time. If you are wanting to run this trail be cautious of loose rocks and roots. Sometimes some deer on the trail but they usually run away.
EDIT: PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE SHORTCUTS IT ERODES THE MOUNTAIN.
Excellent trail that is close to town. The trail is well traveled and clean. Some parts are wide enough for two people to walk side by side but it’s mostly single track. No bikes allowed. There are lots of options for the distance you are after, ultimately going to the Ukiah “U” if you want to get some steep climbing in. If you plan to go to the top, it’s 1100 foot elevation gain and you should plan on 2 1/2 – 3 hours.
Many people bring their dogs, it hasn’t ever been an issue for me.

Maybe the best city park I’ve ever been to

Trail is much bigger than expected. Great for a morning hike. Was shaded as you go uphill.

Nice trail that’s close to town! The view is decent but not too impressive. Nice air. But the downhill shortcut can be slippery, so hike cautiously.
