Charlie’s it’s a really good place to eat in St Helena.

    The service is very friendly.

We start with oysters, fresh, delicious and the mignonette was spot on.

The Caviar was really good, the onion dip and the skin potatoe was the perfect companion.

Then arrive the fried chicken, and yes was good, but I was expecting a little more flavor on it.

Overall a really good place to have a great food.

Absolutely loved our experience at Charlie’s Napa Valley! The oysters were fantastic, fresh, not fishy at all, and perfectly shucked with zero shell fragments. They were noticeably better than the other oyster places we’ve tried in the area, and the price was very reasonable too.
The fried chicken was also excellent, super crispy on the outside and juicy and tender inside. Highly recommend!

Outstanding meal. Everything was 10/10. The waitstaff was incredibly nice and tried to make me feel very welcome as I dined alone. And good lord, their banana bread is probably the best dessert I’ve ever had. Get that if you have room for dessert. This place is def a must if you visit Napa!

We went because a winery host recommended it. Lately, Napa Valley hasn’t had many restaurants that really stood out, so I was happy to discover a new spot. We came because we heard the chicken was better than Ad Hoc’s—and it really was. The batter was extremely crispy, the chicken was perfectly cooked with no pink at all, and the seasoning was just right.

The crispy cauliflower was an absolute favorite. I thought the pretzel ham might be predictable, but the pretzel itself was surprisingly soft and excellent. The steak was cooked exactly to the right doneness, and since it was aged, it was incredibly tender. We ordered the French dip sandwich—the sauce had a deep, rich beef flavor that was fantastic. We also had the smoked trout; for something smoked, the salt level was very well balanced.

At first, I thought the lunch menu was a bit limited, but the fried items and bread were outstanding. They even changed our plates midway, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that it was very crowded, so the wine service was slow. Corkage is $25.

Everything was great, but the restroom had a very unpleasant smell. But we’ll definitely be back.

The food was amazing. We got the caviar on potatoe skins and they are these little plump chucks of potatoes heaven. We got both the raw and bar b qed oysters and both are great and very well cleaned. The friend chicken and fancy ranch was absolutely perfect. Cristy and flaky without being greasy. The fancy ranch had caviar in it and that little brine was a great addition. For dessert we had the frozen bananas dipped in chocolate with this carmelized banana peel sauce. It was absolutely Devine. I have been wanting to visit this place for a couple months and I was very pleased. The staff was absolutely impeccable… friendly and helpful, not one bad thing to say. I 100% would recommend
