If you like carnitas, this is the place to come. I have tried carnitas all over town and this place has the best in town. They STUFF their Tortillas with a huge amount of meat. Their salsa verde is my favorite. The beans are also a favorite of mine. This is my new favorite place to score tacos.
Entry was a bit hectic since it was literally lunch and a busy holiday. I love little mom and pop shops and this one is definitely welcoming and vibrant. The atmosphere was rustic but authentic. I was recommended this place a few weeks ago and I thought id pop in and see what all the fuss was about. One of the biggest set backs is the location. Very busy street and tiny parking lot, however, food comes out quickly for those who are stop and go type of customers. We ordered a Chicken Quesadilla which was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. The avacado/salsa they have is divine! We got a Steak Burrito which was also perfectly cooked and seasoned well. We ordered the classic 3 Tacos Carnitas Plate since it was the House Specialty item and got some fresh cooked pork rinds. The carnitas tacos are a must order. They come exactly as shown in the pictures. Being able to customize the heat and ingredients is a huge plus for some. I do have a couple of things that are food industry no-nos. They didn’t bring the order out all at once. There was a few flies in the restaurant as well. The service was great although it felt like the staff was miscommunicating and a little disorganized but thats just an observation. Loved the experience and would recommend to those who love very good and authentic Carnitas style food.
This Mexican place was very okay. It wasn’t anything to knock my socks off but I did get bare minimum. I will be coming back here to try more and I will update my review if it if time serves better. The workers here do not speak English but I do not think that is a negative. I think it is a positive. They had a little boy in the corner that spoke English and Spanish who translated and I think that was a huge plus to my experience. My girlfriend really seemed to enjoy this place too so I will be back again to try more things. Thank you, for your time.
I tried it for the first time today. The super burrito was huge and the quesadilla was also a lot of food. Unfortunately no chips and salsa or diet drinks, but we will be back as the food was good. A good option for a to-go order.
