Speaks very little English so brush up on Spanish. Very small very good food the grocery store part is very small dont except much. Meat market portion is small as well
Freshly made tortillas, awesome menu (tortas, burritos, carne guisada, and more), fresh meats, and well stocked market with authentic Mexican groceries. I stop here frequently on my long commutes passing through Corning. Nothing not to love here. It’s my favorite place to eat and grab fresh tortillas and Mexican groceries to go.
As new Mexican restaurants are opening their doors in Corning, you would think the veteran Mexican restaurants would really step up there game, unfortunately it seems Dos amigos has opted to lower there quality while raising there prices. It’s a shame this place was one of the few that actually had an authentic feel and taste to it.
Been told they had the BEST Carne Asada in town. Well ,I have a feeling, unless you speak Spanish or are Hispanic, you will never know. Why do I say that? I finally went in to purchase some items. The lady at the front counter looked me up and down, gave me a dirty look, and never said a word. I made my way to the Deli counter, only to stand there for a while. Finally, one of the women in the back said something, so I explained to her what I wanted, at which point she said something in Spanish, went back to what she was doing, and ignored me. Not one other person in the entire place could be bothered. They made it VERY clear they didn’t want me there. This is supposed to be a business, but it’s clear it’s not for everyone. I walked out feeling like I got slapped in the face, and all I wanted was to give them some business. If you are going to have a public business, treat everyone the same. Being rude to customers is inexcusable. If it makes you feel good to exclude people, you are the problem, not the solution. You are only making things worse in the world. Are you proud?

Very small but I enjoyed my meal. Friendly lady. Beans were good. The spicy smell made my nose run and other customers sneeze.
