Excellent, the Mole sauce is handmade and has a great chili tase and a hint of chocolate. The street tacos just that, street tacos with plenty of meet. Service was top notch and busy for a Wednesday evening. $20-$40 for two people with 2 drinks.
Came for late lunch. Got the shrimp ceviche and a couple street tacos. My favorite was the ceviche along with the Aqua Fresca. Great local spot with friendly service.
Overheard that the mole was their specialty, so I had to have it. It was to die for! I’m vegetarian, and they were very accommodating, making me a cheese enchilada with mole. The aguas frescas was also very refreshing. Will definitely return the next time I’m in Sacramento
Tried the asada huarache and it exceeded expectations. The masa was thinner than usual, not greasy, and didn’t leave that heavy, weighed-down feeling you typically get with dishes like this. Everything tasted fresh and it was filling without being too much. The salsas were a great touch and added extra flavor. I’d absolutely order it again.
I was staying in downtown Sac, and had a craving for Birria, and I’m so glad I found this place. I have been all over North America eating tacos, and hands down, this has become my favorite Birria place. I never would’ve expected it, but it’s so flavorful and seasoned. I initially ordered 2 birria tacos, and an assortment of street tacos – while I didn’t enjoy the street tacos as much, the Birria blew my mind. I ordered another pair.
The workers were kind, and it was equally awesome to support a family owned business. Congratulation to Carino on having an amazing taco.
