Very expensive pricing compared to some of the old local Mexican markets quality overall this average Asada meat is not very tender no fresh may be acceptable for non-Mexicans but as a true Mexican, you can understand quality immediately and unfortunately, you do not get that here

I was shocked by the recent price increase by the new greedy owner ! A whole grilled chicken used to cost $11.99, and now it’s $15.99—about 2.5 times the price of Walmart’s rotisserie chicken.
I understand that inflation affects businesses, but this increase feels excessive, especially for a community like East Palo Alto where many families are already struggling with the rising cost of living. I can afford to buy it, but many people cannot, and local businesses should keep their community in mind.
Unfortunately, the quality has also declined. The chickens I’ve purchased recently have been overcooked, dry, and even burned in some areas. Charging significantly more while serving a lower-quality product is disappointing.
I’m writing this because I care about the East Palo Alto community and hope businesses will balance profitability with fairness. Customers deserve reasonable prices and consistent quality.

Cardenas Markets is a great grocery store with a wide variety of fresh produce, Hispanic products, meat, and prepared foods. The store is usually well stocked, affordable, and convenient for the local community. One of the best parts is the meat department team, especially the blonde girl (Maria)who is very friendly, helpful, and kind to customers. The staff overall creates a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.

Mexican and Latin American themed grocery store selling a variety of groceries, alchohol, warm food, and meat/seafood. Pleasant experience if you need something fast. Prices are fair, customer service is fast, and the store is well put together. Details will follow:

They have pretty much everything here if it can be found in Mexico or elsewhere. They have a large grocery section, they have a deli with hot food in tubs that looks great, they have beer, and they have a cheese, meat, and seafood section! Everything is written in English and Spanish, which is a plus! The store could be organized and faced (pushing all products to the front) better, but otherwise a great store.

Located in a large complex next to Target and Ikea. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. Safe area. Easily accessible from Highway 1.

Customer service was efficient. Everyone spoke Spanish and English which is great for helping everyone! . Super helpful staff!
