Our son, Taylor, and his wife, Stephanie, took us there when we visited with them recently. It isn’t fancy compared to some other restaurants. But what it lacks in atmosphere, it sure makes up in food quality, a friendly and attentive owner and staff. The food is spot on, and reasonably priced with the Char-Grilled Branzino, (served whole or deboned) and the Baby Lamb Chop (actually, it should be plural, as there are more than one) as amazing standouts, and all served with perfectly cooked vegetables. I can’t wait to eat there again. It is now my favorite restaurant in Livermore. Do yourself a favor and give it a try – I’m sure you will enjoy it as well.

We’ve lived in Livermore since 2005. Every restaurant in this location has always been excellent, and Calamari seems to have not just matched — but surpassed all of its predecessors.

All of their bread is baked fresh daily on the premises. I can’t have gluten, but I deeply appreciate fresh-baked awesomeness for anyone I bring who *can* enjoy the gluntenisian delights. The spread / dip that comes with the bread is so delicious that I would eat it on just about anything.

(Yes, even that. And yes, I know what you’re thinking. Pervert.)

They have many gluten-free options, and everything is incredibly delicious. Grilled octopus was our appetizer of choice, and holy cephalopod, Batman! Nummy nummies in our tummies!

I ordered the salmon, and I’ve never had better. Milady had the Beef Manti — and I was desperately jealous for a bite, but it’s a dumpling made with wheat. Those of you who have no gluten issues (and consume le beeves) will have a great time with this dish.

We went with a bottle of the legendary Yakut (13.5 ABV), and it was lovely. Next time we’ll try one of the other Turkish wines on offer, because this is a region we have yet to explore.

Dessert was the rice pudding (perfection), will the Turkish coffee at a 20 year old Tawny port.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had. We will be back: this menu must be explored to the furthest extent possible.

This place was a lucky find. It is a quaint and welcoming Mediterranean restaurant that has everything you would expect on the menu (the spanakopita was sooo good – best ever) as well as seafood and little Italian-Mediterranean fusion.
Our group was 3 people and we choose to eat outside at a table near a heater – it was a cold day, but we were very comfortable. The place was packed with groups ranging from 10 people to 2 people – all ages present and welcome.
The staff was great. They were happy to move tables around to accommodate everyone. Very friendly, welcoming and they don’t rush you at all. It was not quite a European experience where the meal lasts 3 hours, but they give us plenty of time to enjoy our food and have a nice conversation.
The food was AMAZING! Our group ordered several appetizers: spanakopita, saganki, and the octopus – all were excellent. For lunch I had the salmon and it was perfectly prepared.
The prices were a little high, ranging from $10-40, but the quality of food and service was excellent, so it felt fair.
Love this place! I’m already planning to head back with friends!

Great little restaurant with authentic Mediterranean food with a Greek flair.
I had the moussaka and the lemon chicken soup is excellent. Small restaurant right on first Street.
it’s kind of pricey, but I definitely would recommend it and I’d go back.

The food here is incredibly flavorful and well cooked. I went with my wife this weekend and ordered the lunch special lamb burger and it was really delicious and packed a lot of flavor. My wife ordered the salmon and she really enjoyed it. We highly recommend it.
