This place has gone downhill. We had been here years ago and adored their baked goods. Today we had a savory scone which was OK (they forgot to warm it), a frittata which was a bit dry, a muffin which was dry and an almond pastry which was dry and tasted yeasty. Something had changed here. I do not recommend it.

Super overhyped. The peanut butter cookie didn’t taste fresh and is dry and not worth the calories TBH and the dirty chai is just ok.

And the service is kind of rude. I had my dog and out of respect I waited outside the window thinking I could order from there. No hello. No welcome please come inside to order. Stood out there for a few minutes while she just stood there, knowing I was there.

I like Brickmaiden better! And I have been to both several times. But Bovine opens earlier if you want an early start of a day! Also not expensive. Their baked goods are not bad, corn muffin is quite social and tasty! The daily scone with chocolate glazing. Coffee is just okay though…

Solid bakery and everything was very fresh. We wanted a little snack before starting our day so we grabbed some raspberry turnovers that were absolutely delicious! I recommend this place if you want a good pastry and relax for a bit.

I have some sort of very fond nostalgia for this place due to the many times I’ve stopped here during the past 30 years on biking or beach trips to the area. It’s a cool town and a great location. The bakery itself is okay. The pastries are fair, not great, like they used to be. Pizza is bad and not heated enough. Staff is not the friendliest, some give you the stink eye if you ask them to fill your water bottle. At least now, after years of resistance, they do have espresso drinks, which are okay. With so many bikers around, you would think the bakery or the town would make more of an effort to have nice outside seating and bike racks.
The bread shop behind them has pastries, I’ll try them next time.
