My spouse and I are casual collectors of art almost exclusively works produced by local artists. We have pieces across the spectrum of media created by individuals of all capabilities, from elementary school students to professional artists in Northern California and Nevada. The Blue Goose is one of our favorite venues to aquire new works and presents pieces that are guaranteed to fit anyone’s tastes and preferences. And, it’s all local, presented in a way that allows one to spend time considering the artists presentations, with helpful and knowledgeable staff (artists themselves), and devoid of commercialism that has invaded some “galeries”. We love going here!
I was invited to the Blue Goose open house on the “First Saturday” of the month. I was enthralled by the lovely art art work in every medium imaginable. Some of the pieces were things that I had never seen before. They filled the walls and shelves. I had the opportunity to meet the artists and learn about their creative process.
It was a wonderful night. I still have images swirling in my head of the beautiful and high caliber artwork. This is absolutely the best art gallery with the most variety that I have ever visited. I can still feel the passion of the artists. They are not in it for the money, they are in it for their own satisfaction of the creative process.
I was surprised at how un educated and unfamiliar the workers were with the pieces displayed. I was also surprised there was little to no oil, pastel and other REAL paintings. I can appreciate the Crayon pieces but would expect that from my kids more than an art gallery.
I would be surprised if this “art gallery” actually is a positive cash flow business.

Wow, great experience. Many different types of artist displayed their art and the curator was fantastic.
