Honestly THEE BEST shrimp and CA burritos we have ever had.

Food is always fresh and so full of flavor and the staff is so nice. Atmosphere gets 4 starts only because I wish they had a bigger and brighter space, we typically get takeout just because I feel a little claustrophobic in the restaurant. But if they had a patio area or space with more windows we would probably eat there all the time.

I cannot recommend this place enough. SO GOOD

Amazingly authentic. The outside looks very unassuming but don’t let that fool you. This is the best Mexican food in Sonoma County that we’ve found in over a year searching for something that meets our San Diego standards. The pride and attention to detail is evident throughout the meal. Look at the presentation of the fish tacos. The cabbage was sliced super thin which is exceedingly rare to find, but was an immediate tell as to the quality of this place.

Hailing from San Diego, my wife and I judge Mexican restaurants by their fish tacos and their California burritos.

My California burrito also passed the test with flying colors. It was huge, perfectly toasted on the outside, the carne asada was expertly seasoned, and it was the perfect mixture of fries to meat.

There was a cheese sauce inside which is not traditional but we are in NorCal after all so I chalk it up to an acceptable and delicious spin on a San Diego classic.

It was a little slow this particular Saturday afternoon so the owner came out to chat with us and he is very proud of his restaurant. For good reason.

I am a 35 year old Hispanic male, big boy. Just FYI – this place is delicious. I had a huarache de asada and two tacos (asada and pastor). There are two things that make tacos good or bad, the tortilla, and the salsa. It’s hard to find bad meat flavor, but when you do find it, you’ll never be back and everyone will let you know. This place has good asada, and the tortillas are really good. I honestly forgot to ask if the tortillas were hechas a mano, but if they aren’t, then I need to find out what brand they use, because they definitely taste like it. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars, is because the red salsa needed more flavor and spice. The green salsa is really good. The asada has good flavor and is just the right amount of crispy. The pastor had good flavor but not enough crisp for me (I like it crispy like when it’s cooked on the trompo. The huarache base is light, thin, and has good taste. The toppings are perfect and tasty. The atmosphere got 4 stars from me only because it was warm and a bit muggy in there. But the place is clean. I will be back.
