We stayed at Basecamp Lodge for two nights in Cabin 1, and our stay was quite relaxing!
Cabin 1 is completely detached from the other cabins and offers a direct view of Mount Shasta. Inside, the cabin is well-equipped with amenities, including a full fridge, microwave, cooking range, oven, pots, pans, cutlery, dinnerware and complimentary coffee and tea. The room has one king bed, one daybed with pullout trundle bed and attached single bathroom, it was good for our family of 4.
The entire property is very well-maintained. The common areas feature swings, hammocks, lawn games, picnic tables, and a shared BBQ area, making it a wonderful place to unwind.
Our only complaint is that the room floors could have been cleaned a bit better before our arrival, there were dead bugs in all corners of the room, that’s why 4 stars, otherwise, everything else was absolutely perfect, and we had an amazing, relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

We appreciated the little touches such as coffee, tea, olive oil in the kitchen. The rooms were clean and furniture and fittings were ok/nice.
However the online pictures and especially the price of over $500 for a Friday night painted a image that did not match reality. The room (cabin 8) was much smaller than it appeared online, and especially the bathroom was tiny with a barely useable half sink and a tub that had seen better days. This was far from a luxury accommodation, I guess you just pay for the location.

The space was lovely and bright! When I showed up the cabin was very clean and I prepared with the ac on which was very refreshing! The space was bright and everything worked perfectly. I absolutely loved the swinging chairs and hammocks under the beautiful oak trees. It was also really sweet being so close to the peace garden about a minute walk from my door!
Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Nice place. No view of the mountain though. Trees block what would be a nice view from the upstairs bedroom in (only) cabin 8 since it’s at the end of the line. Stairs are very steep, narrow, and capped with aluminum edges that are not meant for use without shoes. Way too painful. Place was clean and wifi only occasionally dropped out during streaming. Beds were comfy and linens were nice. Quiet area and only faintly hear the train pass. Stove needs to be leveled to ensure level pans when cooking or flatter bottomed pans. AC was a nice dual zoned system that worked well.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The cabin was clean, cozy, and very well maintained, with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable trip with friends. The mountain view was absolutely stunning, especially during sunrise and sunset — definitely one of the highlights of our stay.
The place had a perfect balance of comfort and nature, making it a great spot to relax and spend quality time together. The host was also responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views!
