This was a great experience. The drinks are great and the servers are friendly. I do wish they birria tacos had a bit more flavor but I can get over that because Bruno was such a wonderful spirit. Id come in just to chat with him. He was cheerful and made sure I was well taken care of.

I lived in San Diego when Betty’s opened and even though I’ve sadly moved on, it’s still my favorite restaurant. You can tell the quality of the operation when you consider that so staff members have been there for many, many years, some from its opening. It’s a five hour round trip motorcycle ride for me but it’s well worth the effort.

I had such a fantastic experience at this spot on University Avenue. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the food is absolutely delicious.
Everything we ordered was perfect, but the queso dip with the crispy chips was a total highlight. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and the portions were great. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Baja Betty’s is a unique Tex Mex restaurant with flare and excellent bar. My recent dinner while visiting San Diego was a decent experience. The Chips and salsa were excellent to start followed by decent chicken fajitas. It’s in a great location and easy to find.
