Visited Azteca Mexican Food recently and loved everything we ordered from the menu. One pain point however, would be the vegetarian options. There aren’t many to choose from apart from the Veggie Burrito. Would appreciate seeing more vegetarian options on the menu if possible!
The fresh nachos and salsa they serve were top-notch.
We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas, Chicken Chimichanga, Veggie Burrito, and Fish Tacos. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portion sizes were just right.
The service was super quick even though the restaurant was busy. Definitely a great spot for a quick dinner!
The chips were old, the meat was also old. No flavor. For the amount I paid for this food and the quality, is what caused me to write the review. First time at this establishment, will definitely not be going back. Save your money and go somewhere else.
I ate here a few days ago with a group of 13. We were promptly seated. A server came by took our drink orders while another server brought us several baskets of chips and bowls of salsa. Everyone in our group ordered something slightly different (beef tacos, chicken enchiladas, shrimp fajitas, taco salads, mole, and chili rellenos); we all agreed everything was delicious. The flavors were authentic, food served hot and the drinks ice cold. The service was wonderful too. The restaurant staff was very attentive and would fill up our drinks before they were empty. I look forward to eating at this restaurant again!
They Need to change restaurants name. Maybe to Brandon’s Authentic Mexican cuisine. Only reason i gave this place a shot was because of the deeply rooted Aztec name for the restaurant. Boy was I fooled out of $55…False advertising!!! The tapatio bottle was more authentic than anything there. I have never had a shrimp cocktail in my life that was sweet. I tried to dress it up with lemon and a crapload of tapatio hot sauce which did not work. The waitress said, it might by the orange crush soda they put in it. Never asked if I wanted something else as I only had eaten half the portion. Should have just stayed on Travis base and gone to Taco Bell Or the Taquero selling tacos on the side of the road, just around corner would have been a significantly better option for REAL Mexican food. What a quagmire that I’m writing this review sitting on the toilet from Azteca authentic mex food, hence stomach ache from shrimp cocktail.
Don’t waste your time or money on this establishment. It’s a Fugazzi!! My wife is white and she said , the food is made bland for her folks. But it’s a Mexican Authentic restaurant!!!! Right!!!!
I have not gotten food from this restaurant in quite some time, but the quality of the food has not changed at all. It is still awesome! The homemade chips and salsa, the shredded beef tostada, the sauce-dripping chicken enchilada, were all yummy. For great Mexican food, El Azteca is the place to go.
