Such a gem, and certainly worth a stop-in whenever you’re in Elk. The Artist’s Collective boasts a tremendous range of local art, spanning paintings, woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Really cool operational model with each of the 30 featured artists staffing the gallery once a month (so you might meet the artist of the work you like, too!).

  • Tim Anderson

Cooperative art gallery with an ecclectic group of local artists. Well worth a visit.

  • Madame Pele Hand Maiden

Always a must visit whenever we pass through Elk. Wonderful cooperative of artists with all kinds of wonderful art to suit all occassions and urges. And if you are lucky, Buck, the German Shepherd will be there to welcome you, too! There is a Little Free Library just steps away from the building and a Tesla supercharger across the street. Another wonderful stop as you cruise Hwy 1 in Mendocino County.

  • Gary Levenson-Palmer

One of the treasures of the Mendocino Coast. The gallery includes the fine work of many artists.

  • Jenae Lien

Delightful 2-story gallery with home to artwork from about 30 various local artists who live along Elk coast and Fort Bragg.

Find magnets for $3 or paintings for $650. When you walk in, art is located for sale in every corner. Pottery art in the form of cats or goblets and plates. Beautiful shell work in frames. Lots of seashell jewelry and items made from abalone.

We met Scott Chieffo who is a photographer, contributed and a manager of the gallery.

Free to enter, take your time with this place – you’ll find some neat treasures.
