This place is amazing! They really take their time with every customer, are friendly, and have very unique art and gifts for purchase. Art buyers and artists know Monica’s reputation for her work and trust that she will frame their pieces with precision and accuracy. I highly recommend this shop to everyone.
Had to wait for 25 minutes before I was addressed while the owner held an uncomfortable conversation with the customer in front of me. When I went to pick up the Matt board I ordered I commented that I thought I wanted 26” instead of 24”. I was wrong and I added “ I honestly don’t remember I could be wrong” she replied “ I have been measuring things for 30 years and here is the order form with the measurements you requested, again I agreed and also agreed to pay regardless. Frustrated I said firmly “I know that. She aggressively said “I don’t like your attitude “, I reminded her she made me wait 25 minutes while she held a conversation and I didn’t particularly like the way I was being treated and she said “if you needed help you should have spoken up. I replied I didn’t want to interfere and quite frankly that should never be the customers responsibility. She then continued yelling at me adding “the customer is not always right”. I paid and left and told her I would not be returning. She yelled me out the door GOOD! Upon returning home I further inspected my Matt and realized that what I had thought was a black core that I just didn’t notice when I initially picked it out was in fact some kind of black marker she ran sloppily along the entire inside bevel. I did not request nor approve this alteration and after handling the mat I released that the marker she used was bleeding all over my hands and smudging everything I touched, rendering the mat unusable as it would damage any artwork it touched. So as from as much as a place of love I can muster after that experience I want you and any one who reads this to know, you have failed me. You have failed me as business owner, as a craftsperson, and as a member of the community.
Very few times in my life have I found hidden gems as impressive at the Art Center Frame Shop! I never thought of framing as an art form until I went here. The works of art that Monica (the owner) has created me are now my most prized possessions! I have commissioned Monica twice now, and plan on commissioning many more. After working with her on the first project (Green Birdwing butterfly), I was completely flabbergasted by the result! On the second project (Black Witch moth), I gave her complete creative freedom. I could not be happier with what I received! Both projects are one-of-a-kind museum quality works of art that I will cherish forever! I believe everyone has something that deserves to be framed like this. If she can frame something as odd and delicate as these specimens, she can frame anything! I feel extremely grateful to have this level of talent working in our community!

Awesome shop and adorable shop dog! My artwork was re-matted while I waited and looks amazing. Affordable too! I’m a fan. This is a wonderful shop.
