The new remodeled Applebee’s IHOP combo restaurant interested me enough to give it another try after several years. I had fond memories of eating at IHOP so I went with a friend who wanted lunch and I ordered breakfast. I have waited a couple of weeks to write this review to be fair about the level of disappointment I experienced. I will start with what they have gotten right. It was a pleasant surprise that they have turned down the volume and intensity of the Applebee’s soundtrack that forced you to raise your voice to uncomfortable levels to hold a conversation with your company at the table. It was much more pleasant. The dining area has been refreshed but not truly remodeled it still has the central bar and sports on screens everywhere and retains the sports bar vibe if you like that you do if you don’t you don’t. Upon arriving the restaurant vas fairly busy but not full at least one section was closed. There were several people waiting for a host at the door and none came in the 5 to 6 minutes I stood there. The Men two groups in front of me had a disabled member in a wheel chair and were already complaining as we arrived. They looked around and found a booth for themselves and the other groups waiting followed them. Several minutes later we had flagged down a waitress who said she would bring us menus and came back 10 minutes later with them. It was a similar amount of time before she returned for our order. Over 40 minutes later our orders arrived, mine eggs over easy with hash browns bacon and toast my friends was a chicken dish with pasta and they had both been either overcooked or baked under a heat lamp. Mine was inedible and when I complained the waitress blamed it in a language communications problem with the cooks. We were running out of our lunch break and she said she would get mine remade. My friend went ahead and ate his, finished and went outside. We were at an hour and a half of our hour lunch when it came back made properly. To her credit but too little too late she credited my meal but not his or the two sodas we ordered. This time I will not go back and it’s a shame
We were looking forward to breakfast at IHOP today, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations.
Our server, Tracy, was excellent and provided outstanding service throughout our visit. However, the rest of the experience was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being relatively quiet, our food took an unusually long time to arrive. When it did, the eggs, bacon, and sausage were cold, and the hash browns were overcooked. The pancakes were the only items that met expectations.
The manager kindly offered to remake the meals, but given the lengthy wait, we declined. We did appreciate the generous discount applied to our meals and thank the staff for that consideration.
We were not the only customers experiencing issues, as a nearby table also appeared to have concerns with their meal. I hope these problems are addressed, as we would like to see improvements in the future.
We arrived an hour before they closed. The waitress who helped us stood right beside our table and complained that she wanted to close early, but now she has a table for two and that won’t happen… but told the other waitress to not lock the doors yet because she didn’t want to “get in trouble” although they immediately turned off the open sign when we walked in before assisting us. She stood directly behind me when we ordered our drinks, which was so strange and unfriendly. We walked out before drinks were served. How rude. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner… we drove 45 minutes to get here. We come here very often and have never had a bad experience. The date was 12/29/25 at 10:00pm.
I initially wrote a one star review, but I would like to update that the amazing management reached out to me and definitely made up for the unfortunate experience I had. The waitress we had at our next visit was very nice! The food was overall good and my family and I had a great time 🙂
Very nice, I had the bourbon street steak and mashed potato, wife had Parmesan chicken fettuccine and we both ate salad. Steak was cooked to perfection just as I ordered and my wife enjoyed her chicken. No issues with anything
We eat there all the time we go in for happy hour to get half priced appetizers and we have a dinner. We have drinks. They have a great margarita for $6. It’s really good. The waitresses and waiters are really friendly. It’s like a all-around good time. I recommend it to anyone we sat at the bar. Then you can watch the funny stuff on the TV or somewhere else and watch sports.
