Great cafe for more health minded choices. The green smoothie brought me back day after the day, the sourdough bread was underwhelming and I wouldn’t bother with it but the tempeh bagel was WOW!!! And you get to eat with a nice view of mount Shasta.

    UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE:

Thank you for your response. To clarify, I posted my review on Google first, and a few minutes after, I posted on Yelp. I don’t see anything wrong with this. Customers using both platforms deserve to know the truth. On Yelp, you acknowledged that the online ordering system was new and had “bumps in the road”, but here your tone changed.
What disappointed me was being blamed instead of helped, both in person and again in your public response.

The Turkey Mayhem photo clearly showed a salad, but we received chips instead. Please compare the photos and decide for yourself. We never selected either chips or salad. Your online system never offered to select and picture again clearly showed salad. Because of our family’s dietary restrictions, we politely asked if the chips could be replaced with the salad shown in the photo, but we were told it would cost extra.

Rather than simply acknowledging that the situation could have been handled better, you chose to accuse me of “throwing a tantrum” and ask, “Do you feel better now?” I believe readers can judge for themselves whether that reflects professional customer service.

My review was never about ruining anyone’s day. It was about sharing an honest experience so future customers know to double-check their online orders.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:

My wife ordered the Turkey Mayhem meal for herself and our kids through the online ordering system. See the photos and compare them. The menu clearly showed the meal with a salad, but we received chips instead.

The online menu was misleading. The Turkey Mayhem photo showed a salad, but we received chips instead—and then we were blamed for the confusion. We never selected either chips or salad.

Our family has dietary restrictions, so we couldn’t eat the chips. When my wife politely asked if they could replace them with the salad shown in the picture, she was told it would cost extra.

After we ate what we could, we tried to explain the situation again, but instead listening or helping, the staff member simply said, “Sorry, that’s it,” followed by, “I guess you can just enjoy.” We couldn’t even eat part of our meal, so that response was rude and dismissive.

The fruit smoothie was good, but it doesn’t make up for misleading menu photos, poor customer service, and refusing to correct an obvious mistake.

Don’t reply to this review with excuses. Just fix your online ordering system so customers receive what is shown on the menu.

Also it was flies flying all over the place inside.
    NEVER AGAIN!

This place has such a cozy, local feel to it! The avocado toast was awesome and came with a side of melon, which was a nice touch. They have a huge selection of smoothies, I tried the mango dragon one and it was great, so I’m sure the rest are just as good. If the weather is nice, definitely sit outside; you get a wonderful view of the snow-covered mountains while you eat!

Drinks that make you feel good and taste amazing! A wellness focused business that still feels like a tasty treat. Service was kind and helpful.
