There is no shortage of options for vinyards in the senoma region. We took a chance on the vineyard due to some other descriptions and really more of “just pick one” as my wife said.
We had our 11 year old and she was very entertained by the lizards, animals and dogs on the property ( Dont miss the cemetery tortoise). We were really impressed with Mark the Somalia/ attendant I really can’t talk him up enough. He was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Sometimes these vineyards and wine things can have very pretentious hosts and staff. There is a wine cave tour and picnic area where we brought some fruit, cheese, bread and butter we got at a regional farmers market. I would recommend this to any one with or without kids. I would also return without hesitation. We will now add Alexander valley vineyards to our rotation back home.

My daughter’s engagement at Alexander Valley Vineyards was nothing short of incredible — 10 out of 10 across the board.
The vineyard is absolutely beautiful, and the wine was outstanding. Each tasting felt thoughtfully curated, and the quality, balance, and craftsmanship of the wines made the experience feel both special and memorable for everyone in our group.
What truly set the day apart, though, was the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, our families were made to feel genuinely welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and personal — never rushed, never impersonal.
A huge thank you to Lucas, who went above and beyond as our host, winemaker, tour guide, photographer, and joyful participant in the celebration. His knowledge of the wines, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made the entire experience feel intimate and meaningful. He didn’t just guide us through the vineyard and tastings — he became part of the moment.
This was more than a winery visit; it was a celebration filled with great wine, exceptional hospitality, and a true sense of family. We will forever be grateful to Alexander Valley Vineyards for helping make such an important milestone so unforgettable.

We had the best tour with Harry! He was so full of incredible stories about the rich history of the winery! The caves are extensive and really cool! Cyrus was our favorite wine and we couldn’t help ourselves…took a bottle to go!
We love serving Alexander Valley wines at Cafe de Fleur in Auburn, AL and can’t wait to get them into our bottle shop at Grove Station! Knowing the stories and history of the property makes talking about these wines super fun…watching folks taste them will be even better!!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Very affordable wine bottles and wine tasting yet high quality family owned establishment. Had a free wine cave tour with Mark G and it was a blast! Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Napa Valley for the first time!

What an incredible experience at Alexander Valley Vineyards! This was a trip we will never forget and have been sharing pics with our friends and family since our stay. We enjoyed the beauty of the property, and had a thoughtfully curated wine tasting, followed by a tour of the wine caves. My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in the 1860’s schoolhouse, which is in the middle of the vineyard, surrounded by their farm, and stunning views. It was a surreal experience! The staff at AVV blew us away with their genuine hospitality and will be a definite destination for us on our returning trips!
